Three Years Old

Ethan's 3rd birthday was Sunday and we celebrated by having Pop and MeMe, Uncle Brad and Aunt Nicole, and cousins Avery and Madi up for the weekend. SuperFrog also made an appearance for the 3rd year, and this year, no one was afraid of him. There were high-fives all around.

Ethan proudly wore his "3" shirt on Saturday and would show you on his fingers (and tell you) that he was "3!" We had a "Cars" theme (the Disney movie), and he was thrilled to see Lightning McQueen on balloons, plates, and especially his cake. He got some "Cars" Hot Wheels toys as gifts, and those have been getting non-stop attention ever since. SuperFrog brought the requisite game-day apparel, and everyone was very generous.

The cousins had a great time playing together, from the cars, to jumping on (and then playing asleep in) the bed--as you can see in the pictures. It was a great weekend and Ethan had a terrific birthday. Now we are really on our way to big-boy-land as he is transitioning to the pre-school room (with 3, 4 and 5 year olds) at daycare this week. We are all hoping for a smoother transition than the one we experienced at this time last year.

I can't believe he is 3!! Happy Birthday, Ethan!!

Max had his half birthday this past weekend, and he is now telling everyone that he is "two half". Too cute.
