Last night while we were getting ready for bed, Ethan was running away when he needed to come get his diaper changed. I told him "No, come back here now." and he said to me: "You don't tell me no!"
Now, I'm sure this sounds like sass to you. But what I know is that that is what I say to Ethan when he tries to tell me "No" when I've asked him to do something. I always say, "You don't tell me no. When I ask you to do something you say, 'Yes Mommy'." So I know that it is actually probably more a case of him just repeating something he has heard in the appropriate scenario, but he is almost 3, so I'm sure soon enough it will be sass for sure.
